While motivational quotes aren’t a substitute for actual work, they always give me that little spark of hope I need to move forward. With the spring weather warming my soul, I decided to keep this mood boosted. I put together a list of some of my favorite positive quotes for when I want an extra boost of happiness.

This last quote is one of my favorites. I get so caught up in planning for the future, that I forget how amazing the present is. Happiness isn’t a plan to be achieved in the future. You can choose to be happy right now in this moment.

Take a moment right now to examine yourself. Examine your mood, your worries, and then bring it back to the present. List five things smell, taste, see, hear, or touch in this moment. Next, list five things you’re grateful for.

Moving forward, remember to come back to the present moment occasionally. Life is meant to be lived in the present, not the past or future.

Make each day better.
