Meet me

Hi, I’m Annah. I’m a student at Brigham Young University – Idaho studying Communication. Personally, I think it is the best major out there, but I’m a little biased. While I’ve lived all over the country, I’m currently living in Idaho. I have five siblings all over the country and two amazing parents that spoil me relentlessly as the youngest girl (even though I’ve been out of the house for a few years).

I’ve been on quite a journey for only being in my early 20s. Every weekend growing up we went hiking as a family. My mom, definitely a city girl, went along with it because she loves my dad. Because of both our weekly hikes and moving around, I have seen a lot of the United States; 44 states. I even recently traveled to Costa Rica and was inspired by the differences in culture.

Mostly, I just love being alive every day. I firmly believe we have the power to make our lives amazing if we just act. Seems simple. The thing is, most people don’t actually live. They merely exist like Oscar Wilde says.

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.”

The primary purpose of this blog is to follow me on my journey to really live and encourage you to take steps toward your potential as well. I want to encourage each of you to step outside your comfort zone and try something new. You may not have ever considered living minimalistically or as a vegetarian, but, hopefully, you’ll try out some of these principles that have made me so happy. They might even make you happy too. I’m not saying I have all the answers. You might hate exercising and journaling. That’s okay. The point is to try and then figure out what makes you feel truly alive.

Please, comment with topics for me to cover and if you like what you’re reading. I appreciate feedback, especially because I’m always learning. Thank you.
